Netflix has introduced the cast of Rauls and released a new teaser. The Brazilian series follows seven young people from the outskirts of São Paulo who see online scams as a way to change their lives. The money and glamour come quickly. So do the consequences.
Netflix’s English-language announcement calls the show Grifters, while its Brazilian newsroom and Tudum use the original title Rauls. In this story, “rauls” refers to digital swindlers. The central group is called the Tropa dos 7 — the gang of seven — and the new photos identify the actors who play them.
What does the teaser show?
It begins with the kind of phone call most people would hang up on: a caller promises an irresistible deal and asks the person on the other end to confirm their information. From that simple setup, Netflix moves into a world of money, pool parties and young people convinced they have found a shortcut. The official images include a laptop by the water, a packed party and expensive-looking toys. The series pairs that flashy surface with the fallout from the scams.
Netflix describes Rauls as a mix of thriller and comedy rooted in São Paulo’s peripheral communities. The characters want a better life, and the series follows the cost of turning to fraud to get it. Creator and showrunner Kaique Alves said the team wanted “complex characters, driven by their ambitions and desires, with the contradictions that make us human.”
Who is in the Rauls cast?
Samuel Naor plays Biel in his acting debut. Giovanna Cremonezi is Patrícia, Traplaudo is Richard, MC Chaverin is Lukinhas, MC Dricka is Thamyres, MC GP is TH and Nath Fischer is Lara. Together, those seven form the Tropa dos 7. Netflix also announced MC Nilo as Chacota, but has not explained how his character fits into the group.

Who made the show, and when will it arrive?
Kaique Alves created Rauls with Konrad Dantas, better known as KondZilla, and Felipe Braga. KondZilla and LB Entertainment developed the series, while Manas Filmes produced it. Thiago Dottori, Raul Perez, Donna Oliveira and Teodoro Poppovic wrote the scripts. Alves oversaw the direction; Daniel Lieff, Fred Ouro Preto, Gabriel Zerra and Thatiane Almeida directed episodes.
KondZilla and LB Entertainment previously worked on Netflix’s Sintonia. Rauls brings them to a new story about online fraud, ambition and the culture of São Paulo’s outskirts. The teaser and photos reveal the tone and ensemble, but Netflix has not announced a premiere date or episode count.
