Heated Rivalry is bringing in another pair of major characters for its second season. Daniel Diemer will play Ryan Price, while Shaheen Jafargholi will play Fabian Salah. They join returning leads Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, whose Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov remain at the center of the series.
Ryan and Fabian are confirmed leading roles, not rumored additions. The show’s producers announced both actors and their character names, but have not yet detailed how their stories will unfold on screen.
Who are Daniel Diemer and Shaheen Jafargholi?
Diemer previously appeared in The Half of It and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Jafargholi’s earlier screen work includes War, The Agency and Lost Boys & Fairies. The two are joining a second-season ensemble that also includes Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie in leading roles.
The announcement confirms the roles but leaves the characters’ storylines open. It does not give away how Ryan and Fabian enter Shane and Ilya’s lives or how much of the season they will share with the returning cast.
What do we know about Season 2?
Creator Jacob Tierney is returning as writer and director. The producers have described Fabian and Ryan as complex characters whose casting required actors able to handle different emotional sides of the roles. Emily Hampshire is also among the newly announced cast, playing Vanessa.
Season 2 is planned for spring 2027; there is no exact premiere date yet. Season 1 is available on Crave in Canada and HBO Max in the United States. Those listings are for the released episodes, not a claim that the new season is already streaming.
