What is Evil Dead Burn about?
Souheila Yacoub plays Alice, a widow who visits her late husband's family at a secluded home. A memorial gathering turns into a fight for survival when the family faces Deadite possession. The setup keeps the franchise's familiar mix of grief, family conflict and violent supernatural horror in one place.
Sébastien Vaniček directed the film and wrote it with Florent Bernard. The cast also includes Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Erroll Shand and Maude Davey. If you missed the movie in theaters, the October release is the first confirmed US streaming date from the distributor.
Is it connected to the other Evil Dead movies?
It is a new story in the Evil Dead series, not a remake of the 1981 original. You can follow Alice's situation without memorizing every earlier film.
