Get an Adopt Me Trade License at the Safety Hub by speaking to Agent Jake and answering all three test questions correctly. You can retry the test. The license unlocks trades involving Ultra Rare or Legendary pets and houses, and gives you access to recent trade history and reporting.
The license is a Toy, and it cannot itself be traded away. Uplift Games explains these requirements in its current Trade License FAQ.
Prepare before your first trade
Decide which items you are actually willing to trade before opening an offer. Use the inventory's lock feature for pets or items you want to keep. If you are still unsure about giving something away, leave it out of the negotiation rather than relying on yourself to change your mind at the last moment.
Review the items before accepting, and cancel if the offer is not what you intended. Uplift's Trading Problems guide warns against accidental acceptance and recommends avoiding autoclickers or macros during trades. A deliberate pause is more useful than trying to keep up with someone who is rushing you.
Check who is on the other side
The trade window gives you identity clues. A smiley face, yellow border and Verified Friend label indicate someone on your Roblox friends list. A purple butterfly identifies an Uplift Games team member; a gold star identifies a member of the official influencer program.
Those icons mean different things. A familiar-looking display name is not a substitute for checking the account, and the absence of an icon does not by itself prove someone is a scammer. Use the arrow beside the name to inspect the player's profile. These indicators are documented in Uplift's Trading Safety guide.
If you want help watching a trade, another player can select the trader's avatar and choose Spectate Trade. Having a trusted adult or friend watch is useful when you are unfamiliar with the process, but you still need to check the offer yourself before accepting it.
An unfair-trade warning is not a price appraisal
Adopt Me does not have an official or endorsed pet-value website or list. Uplift explains that its unfair-trade warning uses item count and rarity differences. It is not a promise that the two sides have the same player-market value.
Use that warning as a reason to look again, not as a guarantee that an offer is good. An external site's number also does not obligate you to accept. If your goal is to obtain a particular pet, decide what you are comfortable giving up before someone quotes a supposed value at you. See the developer's Trading Values explanation.
Find and report a suspicious completed trade
Open the Trade License, select the relevant transaction and use its report button. Describe what happened accurately, then submit the report. You can also find earlier records through the Trade History book beside Agent Lily or the Trading Hub Phone's history app.
Report promptly: older records eventually disappear, and Support cannot review a trade once it is no longer available in that history. A real report should describe a suspected scam or hack, not punish someone for declining an offer or express regret about an agreed exchange.
Can reported pets be returned?
Some confirmed scam or hack trades can be reversed under the current reporting system. Returns are not guaranteed or immediate: the FAQ describes a minimum 19-day period associated with the reported player's ban and appeal process. Returned items cannot be traded. Reporting in-game already sends the case to the team; a separate Support ticket is not required for that report.
An accidental trade or a change of mind is not treated the same way as a confirmed scam. Uplift's Trading Problems guidance says regretted and accidental trades are not returned. Check the offer carefully before accepting instead of assuming a report will undo it later.
