Overview

Set in 1993, Street Fighter reunites estranged fighters Ryu and Ken Masters when Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. The official synopsis presents the competition as more than a test of strength: a deadly conspiracy forces the entrants to confront one another and the histories that pulled them apart. This is a new live-action story based on Capcom’s fighting-game series, not an adaptation of Street Fighter 6 or a continuation of the franchise’s earlier films.

Andrew Koji plays Ryu, Noah Centineo plays Ken, and Callina Liang plays Chun-Li. The principal cast also includes Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Cody Rhodes as Guile. Kitao Sakurai directs the film. Capcom and Legendary Entertainment are jointly financing the production, while Paramount Pictures handles worldwide theatrical distribution outside China.

Street Fighter is scheduled to open in theaters on October 16, 2026 and was filmed for IMAX. Paramount classifies it as Action and Adventure, and its official trailer shows the tournament, signature attacks, and the large ensemble in motion. As of August 31, 2026, the official movie pages do not list a streaming release, runtime, or age rating, so this hub does not infer any of those details.
