My Time at Sandrock makes you the newest builder in a desert community. Your workshop processes gathered materials into components, machines and larger structures needed around town. Taking commissions and organizing production are central activities, so the daily routine focuses more on making things than growing a field of crops.

Trips outside the workshop supply materials and discoveries. Explore the desert, excavate ruins for relics and defend yourself against monsters. Combat includes melee fighting and shooting, giving Sandrock a more active side than a purely peaceful life simulation.
The town’s residents have personal stories, requests and relationships to develop. Crafting can support community projects, produce gifts or furnish your own home. The workshop therefore connects your own progress with the place and people around you.
The single-player story is separate from the online sandbox, where up to four players build a town together. The PS4 edition does not include multiplayer. Sandrock suits players who enjoy production chains, exploration and a long narrative, with social life and home decoration alongside machinery and adventure.
