Monster Hunter Wilds is an action RPG developed and published by Capcom. Hunters travel through the Forbidden Lands, follow changing ecosystems, track large monsters, gather materials, and turn successful hunts into stronger weapons and armor. Its 14 weapon types support different approaches to positioning, defense, mobility and damage. The base game can be played alone and supports online co-op with cross-platform multiplayer. Focus Mode helps target wounds and adjust attacks, while environmental changes alter monster behavior and available resources across the connected hunting regions. Monster Hunter Wilds launched February 27, 2025 on Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Ascendance expansion is planned for 2027 and adds Master Rank, new Eastlands areas and monsters, plus the Boost Bracer system. Ascendance requires the base game and completion of the 7-star assignment Awaking From a Dream.
