About the game

Borderlands 4 is a first-person looter-shooter developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K. The game moves the series to Kairos, a new planet filled with rival factions, dangerous creatures, billions of possible weapons, and a campaign built for solo play or co-op. The post-launch roadmap includes Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort, which brings Borderlands 3 Vault Hunter FL4K back for a search for the missing skag companion Mr. Chew. That story pack is scheduled for September 10, 2026, alongside Loveless the Hacker and Bounty Pack 5. Borderlands 4 launched on September 12, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Content details and release plans for future packs can change as Gearbox publishes more information.
