A physics-based walking adventure where players control Nate’s legs one at a time while he climbs a mountain, meets unusual characters, collects hats, and repeatedly loses his footing.
Baby Steps is a single-player physics walking adventure from Gabe Cuzzillo, Maxi Boch, and Bennett Foddy. Players control Nate's legs individually, place each foot on the terrain, manage balance and momentum, and climb through a large mountain landscape where an ordinary path can become a physical puzzle. The journey mixes traversal with character encounters, dynamic dirt, a soundtrack assembled from 420 beats and collectible hats. Comedy comes from the same system that creates progress: Nate slips, tumbles and gets dirty because the player is directly responsible for each attempted step. Baby Steps was released on September 23, 2025 for Windows PC and PlayStation 5, with Devolver Digital as publisher. The PlayStation version supports one player, DualSense trigger effects and a listed set of accessibility options.
