Geoff Seacombe spends much of The Gentlemen working quietly as the gamekeeper at Halstead Manor. Episode 7 shows what he can do when armed men threaten his grandson, Tarquin.
Vinnie Jones said the writers deliberately kept Geoff away from major action in Season 1. The second season gives viewers more information about his relationship with Lady Sabrina and the Horniman family before putting Tarquin in danger.
Geoff’s loyalty to the Horniman family
Geoff has protected the Horniman estate for years. He is in love with Lady Sabrina, he is Charly’s father, and Tarquin is his grandson.

In Episode 7, mercenaries try to kidnap Tarquin. Geoff risks his life to stop them.
Jones said he thought about the first Rambo film while making the episode. He wanted the fight to look direct and desperate instead of using elaborate martial arts. Military advisers helped the cast prepare the action.
How Geoff changed Jones’ career
Guy Ritchie gave Jones his first film role in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Jones said other filmmakers have often seen him only as a physically intimidating character.
Geoff can be intimidating, but Jones also plays him with humor, affection, and restraint.
