The new interview establishes two points: Season 3 is expected in 2027, and Mazin’s plan is for it to end the series. It does not establish when filming begins, how many episodes will be produced or whether the season will be split into separate release windows.
The official HBO Max page remains the current home for the first two seasons. It has not added a Season 3 trailer or episode guide, so there is no official footage to analyze yet.

Bloys was speaking about HBO’s television series. His comments do not announce, cancel or date another game from Naughty Dog, and they do not confirm The Last of Us Part III.
That distinction is important because Naughty Dog has separately said more projects tied to The Last of Us are in the works, without naming those projects. The television plan and the game studio’s unannounced work remain different stories.
