The story, without ending spoilers

Flora Shang is trying to find her place in a fast-moving company. Luke Luan is an accomplished creative director whose sharp manner makes him a difficult boss. Their attraction develops into a private relationship, putting personal feelings alongside the pressures of work and career progress.

The story spans a decade rather than stopping at the beginning of the romance. It is adapted from Gu Niang Bie Ku’s web novel 早春晴朗. The television version is directed by Chiang Chi-cheng, also credited as Jiang Jizheng, and written and produced by Gao Xiao-xian.

Why the leads have two sets of names

Netflix’s publicity uses Luke Luan and Flora Shang. The Chinese names are Luan Nian (栾念) and Shang Zhitao (尚之桃). These are the same two characters, not a second couple. The cards below pair both forms with the actors, which helps when switching between an English synopsis and Chinese-language cast material.
