PlayStation Store listings show the rollout beginning in New Zealand at 11:00 a.m. UTC on November 18 and ending across Mexico and parts of Central America at 6:00 a.m. UTC on November 19. That is a 19-hour span.

The U.S. PlayStation Store lists 5:00 a.m. UTC on November 19. That is midnight Eastern and 9:00 p.m. Pacific on November 18. These are current PS5 storefront timestamps, not a Rockstar-published schedule for every platform, and they can still change before launch.

The list below converts the structured release date shown by each regional PlayStation Store page into UTC. Most entries line up with midnight in the Store region on November 19. Countries that span several time zones need the extra local check explained below.

Pixel Twelve checked all 63 linked Store pages independently. Every page responded and exposed one of those 15 timestamps. The pages currently default to an Ultimate Edition view in many countries, but each is the shared GTA VI concept page that also presents the Standard Edition.

What time does GTA 6 unlock in the United States?

The U.S. PS5 listing converts to 12:00 a.m. Eastern on November 19, 11:00 p.m. Central, 10:00 p.m. Mountain and 9:00 p.m. Pacific on November 18.

That does not mean the U.S. gets an earlier national release date. It means one U.S. Store timestamp is being converted across several time zones. Alaska and Hawaii are earlier still on the local clock. Use the countdown attached to the account that owns the game if it disagrees with a generic time-zone conversion.

Why does the PS5 launch take 19 hours?

The Store pages currently behave like a rolling midnight release. Midnight reaches New Zealand first, then moves through Asia, Europe and the Americas. Measured in UTC, the first listed unlock and the last listed unlock are 19 hours apart even though every storefront presents GTA 6 as a November 19 release.

This is different from a simultaneous global launch, where every player would unlock the game at the same UTC instant. The regional pattern also explains why screenshots or streams may appear online while another Store region still shows hours remaining.

Which PlayStation Store region controls your time?

Use the country or region registered to the PlayStation account that purchased GTA 6. Rockstar’s code guidance says region restrictions for PlayStation redemption are based on the platform account, and it recommends buying from a retailer in that account’s country to avoid activation problems.

This matters most in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico and the United States because one national Store can cover several time zones. A page listed at midnight in the Store’s reference zone can become the previous evening elsewhere in the same country. The console library countdown is the best final check for that account.

The schedule is not a reason to create or fund an account in another country. Store payments, codes and account regions have compatibility rules, and a VPN does not change which regional account owns the license.

When can you preload GTA 6?

Rockstar says digital preloading begins at local midnight on November 12, 2026. The PlayStation Store describes this as a seven-day preload. Downloading the files early does not move the release time; the game remains locked until the timestamp assigned to the Store region.

Rockstar also says the physical Standard Edition contains a download code rather than a disc and is expected to reach shipping or pickup from November 12 so buyers can preload. The account region must match the code region where PlayStation redemption rules require it.

Do these release times apply to Xbox?

No matching Xbox regional schedule has been verified. Rockstar confirms the same November 19 release date for Xbox Series X|S, but the 15 timestamps above come from PlayStation Store pages. They should not be copied onto Xbox until Microsoft listings or Rockstar publish their own times.

The PlayStation timestamps are also advance storefront data. Sony or Rockstar could revise one or more listings before launch. Pixel Twelve will update this page if the Store schedule changes; during launch week, the countdown shown on the purchasing account should take priority.
