Those two date labels can be confusing if you are looking at a calendar outside Japan. The ABEMA listing is a week before Tokyo MX. The Japanese television premiere is not the first time the episode can be watched in Japan.
What happens in Season 2?
Fran and Teacher, the living sword who travels with her, are heading toward the port town of Dars. On the way they discover a floating island. They meet Jean Duvie, a necromancer who wants to explore its dungeon, and agree to go in with him.
The official story description warns that the dungeon is filled with undead monsters. Fran is still trying to grow stronger and reach the evolution she has long wanted for the Black Cat tribe. Teacher remains her partner, helping her fight and make decisions. This is a direct continuation of their journey rather than a new cast in a new world.
The new trailer gives the island a clear look: it hangs above the clouds before the action moves into darker spaces. A Lich also appears as a major threat. The official cast list names Shō Hayami as the Lich, Ai Kakuma as Fran, Shinichirō Miki as Teacher and Yūma Uchida as Jean.

HIDIVE has confirmed Season 2 for its fall 2026 anime lineup. That is the confirmed service to watch for a U.S. release. The company has not given an exact U.S. start date or time in the announcement cited here, so the ABEMA time should not be presented as a HIDIVE simulcast time.
