Jonny Boy

Jonny Boy is a five-episode Top Boy prequel starring Barry Keoghan as Jonny McGee. The origin story takes place before the Irish gangster entered the final season of the Netflix series. Top Boy creator Ronan Bennett writes the prequel, with Ali Abbasi directing. Keoghan, Abbasi, and Des Byrne are among its executive producers, alongside the producers who continue across both new Top Boy projects. Netflix says Jonny Boy will begin filming in 2027. It has not announced a release date, supporting cast, trailer, episode titles, or a more specific production schedule.
