Overview
A Different World: The Legacy Continues is a Netflix sequel series set at Hillman College. Maleah Joi Moon plays Deborah Wayne, the daughter of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert, as she starts her freshman year and builds a new group of friends. The series brings back Kadeem Hardison, Jasmine Guy, Debbie Allen, Darryl M. Bell, Cree Summer, Jenifer Lewis, and Jada Pinkett Smith in returning or guest roles. Felicia Pride is showrunner and executive producer, while Debbie Allen returns as an executive producer and director. The first season premieres September 24, 2026, on Netflix.
