Verity

Verity is a thriller based on Colleen Hoover’s novel. Dakota Johnson plays Lowen Ashleigh, a writer hired to finish a book series for Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway). At Verity’s home, Lowen finds a manuscript with disturbing claims about the family. She cannot tell whether what she has read is true. Josh Hartnett plays Verity’s husband, Jeremy. The cast also includes Brady Wagner as Crew Crawford, Asel Swango as Frida and Daniel Echevarria as Alex. Michael Showalter directs, and Nick Antosca and Colleen Hoover wrote the screenplay.

Verity opens in theaters worldwide on October 2, 2026. Amazon MGM Studios has not announced a streaming service or home-release date.
