Twilight

Bella arrives in Washington to live with her father, Charlie, and finds herself drawn to Edward, a classmate who keeps his distance for reasons she does not yet understand. Meeting the Cullens reveals a hidden vampire family, but another group of vampires makes her relationship with Edward dangerous.

Twilight opens the five-film story and adapts Stephenie Meyer’s first novel. Start here before New Moon; the later films assume familiarity with Bella, Edward, Jacob and the Cullen family.

Directed by Catherine Hardwicke from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg. The U.S. theatrical release was November 21, 2008. The theatrical runtime is 122 minutes.

The returning cast includes Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen, Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale, and Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen.
