Shrek 5

Shrek 5 continues DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek film series with Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and their family at the center of a new animated comedy adventure. Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz return as Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona. Zendaya joins the cast as Felicia, Shrek and Fiona’s daughter, while Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo voice her brothers, Fergus and Farkle. The film is directed by Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn, with Brad Ableson as co-director. Vernon previously worked on Shrek 2, and Dohrn worked as a writer and artist on the second and third films and as head of story on Shrek Forever After. Gina Shay and Chris Meledandri produce. DreamWorks and Universal describe Shrek 5 as a magical comedy adventure within the Shrek franchise. Felicia, Fergus, and Farkle extend the family introduced across the earlier films, while Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey return as the central established characters. The new film follows four previous mainline features: Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, and Shrek Forever After. Shrek 5 is scheduled for an exclusive theatrical release on June 30, 2027. The wider franchise also includes Puss in Boots and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, which connect to the same animated universe. The returning voice cast and new family characters place the film between established franchise continuity and a new generation in Far Far Away.
