Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider is an upcoming Marvel Studios film starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Shawn Levy, with a screenplay by Jonathan Tropper. Marvel announced the project at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026 and later scheduled its theatrical release for July 28, 2028. The studio has not revealed the story or identified which Ghost Rider incarnation Gosling will play. In Marvel Comics, the supernatural mantle has belonged to several characters, including Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, and Robbie Reyes; Marvel has not said whether the film will use one of them or another character. A supporting cast, production timetable, and place within the wider Marvel screen continuity also remain unannounced. The project is separate from the two Nicolas Cage-led Ghost Rider films released in 2007 and 2012.
