Coyote vs. Acme

Wile E. Coyote takes Acme to court after its products repeatedly fail him while he tries to catch the Road Runner. Will Forte plays his lawyer, Kevin Avery, while John Cena plays the lawyer defending Acme. The case brings the bombs, rockets and other backfiring equipment from the cartoons into a courtroom comedy. Dave Green directs the mix of live action and animation, with Lana Condor and Eric Bauza also in the cast. It is based on Ian Frazier’s 1990 short story, which presented Coyote’s complaints as a legal case against the manufacturer. Warner Bros. shelved the completed movie in 2023. Ketchup Entertainment acquired worldwide distribution rights in March 2025 and released it in U.S. theaters on August 28, 2026.
