World of Warcraft: Forever returns to early Azeroth while giving Blizzard room to add new adventures. It is a separate, ongoing experience alongside modern World of Warcraft and Classic, not a replacement for either and not simply a graphics upgrade.

The full release is scheduled for November 4, 2026. Beta testing began September 17. As of September 20, the game is in testing rather than fully released. Launch access is included with a World of Warcraft subscription or game time; optional upgrade packs offer additional benefits.
Players explore the original continents and develop characters through levels 1–60. New quests, regions, dungeons and raids expand that familiar world. Dungeons are designed for small groups, while raids bring larger groups together. Blizzard plans further content updates for this version of Azeroth rather than simply replaying the old expansion order.
Classic Era preserves the original pre-expansion setting. Classic progression revisits later expansions. Modern WoW continues with the newest mainline expansions. Forever offers another choice for players who want new discoveries built around the early-world experience.
