The Lord of the Rings: War in the North — Legacy Edition brings the northern campaign of the three-hero action RPG to current storefronts. Eradan, Andriel, and Farin confront Agandaûr’s forces while the Fellowship travels toward Mount Doom. Each hero fills a different role: ranger skills and ranged attacks, elven magic and support, or durable dwarven melee combat. Solo players can switch among the characters, while cooperative play lets a group divide those roles. Battles combine swords, bows, magic, special abilities, loot, and RPG progression across Middle-earth locations. The Legacy Edition is a modern release of the 2011 game rather than a new story expansion or a sequel. Aspyr developed and published the edition, which arrived on August 11, 2026, for PC, PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
