Townscaper is a small construction toy built around placing and removing colored blocks. Choose a color, add a block to the irregular grid and watch the arrangement turn into architecture. Neighboring pieces determine whether the result becomes a house, arch, staircase, bridge or enclosed backyard.
There are no missions, scores or town services to maintain. You do not need to earn building materials or keep residents happy. The interest comes from experimenting with shapes and seeing how a small change alters the surrounding structures.
That freedom also defines its limits. Townscaper does not provide a campaign, social relationships or a city-management simulation. It is single-player and works best as a place to spend time making an attractive waterfront, whether that means a compact cluster of houses or a much larger settlement.
Choose it when arranging color and silhouette is enough of an activity on its own, without needing quests to explain what to build next.
