Nintendo’s new Switch 2 version launches November 5, 2026. It rebuilds the presentation with updated graphics, faster loading, symphonic music, full character voices, expanded dialogue, remodeled locations and towns that change with the time of day. Dedicated jump and run buttons and right-stick camera control modernize movement and exploration.

Threads of Time provides optional objective guidance through a tapestry interface. Switch 2 microphone support lets players hum songs, and Zelda Notes adds Today Record, Gossip Quest, Play Ocarina and a 2,000-question quiz. A physical edition is announced with textured gold foil on the first printing. Nintendo has not announced the U.S. price, download size or a bundle with the Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition console.
