Terraria is a 2D sandbox adventure from Re-Logic. You begin with basic tools in a new world and can dig for materials, build a home, craft stronger gear and explore caves, deserts, forests and other areas. The game has a day-and-night cycle, enemies and bosses, and there is no single required way to spend your time. You can work on a large building project, look for rare items or prepare for your next fight.

Terraria launched on PC in 2011 and has since reached console and mobile devices. It supports solo play and multiplayer. Friends can build and fight together when they are on compatible versions and platforms. The developer is working on Crossplay Phase One, but it has not announced a launch date or a final list of device pairings for that feature. Do not assume that every device can join the same world today.

The game continues to receive updates. Re-Logic’s September 2026 State of the Game says Crossplay Phase One is nearly ready for submission, with more crossplay work planned afterward. Mods through tModLoader are a separate PC-focused project and should not be taken as a promise of console mod support. The official Steam listing provides the cover and gameplay images shown here.
