PUBG: Black Budget was a first-person extraction shooter developed by PUBG STUDIOS and published by KRAFTON. Players entered an island as Contractors to recover secret technology from an abandoned research facility. They faced rival players and hostile creatures while a supernatural Anomaly changed the playable area.

The planned game supported squads of up to three and sessions with up to 45 players. Players could keep equipment recovered through a successful escape, while death meant losing the items they had taken into a mission. Between runs, they could expand a base, craft equipment and research their discoveries. These were features of the development build, not a released game.

Closed alpha tests ran in December 2025 and June 2026. PUBG STUDIOS announced the end of development on October 1, 2026, saying the project’s current direction could not support an experience players would enjoy over the long term. Black Budget was never commercially released, and it has no launch date. The old store listing and screenshots remain as records of the canceled project.
