Planet of Lana follows Lana and a small creature called Mui after machines arrive on their world and capture villagers. Lana sets out to save her sister, traveling through forests, meadows, deserts and the remains of unfamiliar technology. Mui stays beside her as a companion with an important part in getting through each place.

You control Lana and give Mui commands to help with puzzles and movement. Finding a way across a gap can involve deciding where the companion should go or how the two can work together. This is single-player cooperation between characters, rather than a local two-player game.
The soft colors and animal companion sit alongside real danger. Hiding from machines and using quick reactions are part of surviving some sections. Choose it if you want a puzzle adventure with a close companion, while allowing for moments when looking at the scenery gives way to moving at the right time.
Wishfully developed Planet of Lana, published by Thunderful. It first launched on PC and Xbox on May 23, 2023, with PlayStation and Nintendo Switch editions following in 2024. This page covers the original game, not Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf. The original adventure is a good starting point for meeting Lana and Mui and seeing how their cooperation works before following another chapter.
