Building is a substantial activity. Arrange rooms, use building blocks and landscape the yard to make the plot your own. Home Tours let you visit community creations and find ideas for a new layout. Relationships with villagers add stories and social routines beyond the workbench.

The world includes Kilima Valley, Bahari Bay, Elderwood and the Royal Highlands. Current activities also include caring for animals on a ranch and traveling on horseback. Gathering and exploration feed into the home project instead of existing only as separate excursions.

Palia is free to play, with optional in-game purchases, and requires an internet connection. Playing at your own pace does not make it an offline single-player game. Choose it if the prospect of a shared world appeals to you, especially when decorating a personal home and seeing other players’ creations is as important as following quests.
