Mega Man: Dual Override brings Mega Man and Proto Man together as two playable heroes with different combat styles. Mega Man attacks from longer range and copies powers from Robot Masters. Proto Man fights closer, using his shield to defend, attack and move through danger. His powerful Shield Actions build heat if used too often.

More than 50 Custom Chips can change active and passive abilities for either hero. Override grants a short surge of power but leaves the character more vulnerable when it ends. Capcom has not announced the complete chip list or every boss.
The game is planned for spring 2027 on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. An exact day has not been announced. This is a new mainline Mega Man adventure, not a collection of earlier games.
