Marathon

Marathon is a PvPvE survival extraction first-person shooter developed and published by Bungie. Cybernetic mercenaries called Runners enter the abandoned colony on Tau Ceti IV alone or with a crew, search for valuables, fight UESC forces and rival players, and try to exfil with their loot. Successful runs feed the next attempt. Extracted weapons, mods, implants, and other equipment support stronger builds, while contracts for six factions unlock seasonal progression. Runner shells provide different foundations for movement, defense, information, support, and combat roles. Marathon launched March 5, 2026 for Windows PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It supports cross-play and cross-save and requires internet access. Seasonal updates add zones, gear, experimental queues, progression changes, balance work, and rotating objectives.
