Gothic Classic

Gothic Classic is the original open-world RPG set in the prison Colony of Khorinis, a mining settlement sealed beneath a magical barrier. Players control the Nameless Hero after he is condemned to the Colony, where rival camps, dangerous creatures, scarce resources, and shifting alliances shape the route forward. Progress depends on exploration, reputation, conversation, combat training, and decisions about which faction to support. The world is compact but densely connected, with paths and consequences that make the Colony feel governed by its own rules instead of a simple sequence of levels. This release presents the original Gothic with modern console support; it is not the separate Gothic 1 Remake. Gothic Classic arrived on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on July 28, 2026, following its earlier PC and Nintendo Switch availability.
