Fable

Fable is an open-world action RPG developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios. It returns players to Albion, where choices shape reputation, relationships, and the world around the Hero. Combat combines melee weapons, ranged tools, and magic, while the world includes familiar Fable enemies such as Hobbes, Balverines, and Trolls alongside new threats. Fable launches on February 23, 2027, for Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11. It will be available on day one through Game Pass, and Xbox Play Anywhere allows a digital purchase to work on Xbox console and PC. Playground Games is scheduled to show more combat gameplay at gamescom 2026 before launch.
