Fashion, music, romance, and rivalries share the story with the battles, so getting to know the six fairies is as important as learning their transformations.
The original animated series began in 2004. Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna, and Aisha each have their own powers, interests, and relationships. The Trix are recurring enemies, while the Specialists study at Red Fountain and often join the fairies on their adventures.
Several shows use the Winx name. World of Winx sends the fairies to Earth as talent scouts; Fate: The Winx Saga reimagines Alfea in live action; and The Magic Is Back begins Bloom’s story again in a new animated version. Watching one does not require treating all the others as later seasons.
