Kristen Stewart will play Ada, a young clairvoyant troubled by mysterious premonitions, in Olivier Assayas’s new film Spiritual World. The film’s coproducer ARTE France Cinéma has named Vicky Krieps, Niels Schneider, Riley Keough, Wagner Moura and Barbara Sukowa in the cast. It has not announced their characters.
Stewart and Assayas work together again
Assayas previously directed Stewart in Clouds of Sils Maria and Personal Shopper. ARTE describes the new project as a return to the supernatural material explored in his earlier work. The announcement offers Ada’s premise but does not explain how the other cast members fit into her story.

Filming is planned for February through April 2027 in France and Germany. ARTE lists Curiosa as the French production company. No release date, distributor, streaming platform, trailer or official U.S. age rating has been announced.
