Lionsgate has released the first teaser for Day Drinker. Madelyn Cline plays a bartender on a private yacht, where she meets a mysterious guest played by Johnny Depp.
The encounter pulls both characters into the path of a criminal figure played by Penélope Cruz. The studio has described the connection between the three as a central part of the story, but the teaser does not explain it.
Who is in Day Drinker?
Cline, Depp and Cruz lead the cast. Marc Webb directs from a script by Zach Dean. The teaser puts Depp’s character and the yacht at the center of its first look; it is not a full breakdown of the plot.
For Cline, the film adds a new role beyond Sarah Cameron in Outer Banks. Depp and Cruz have appeared together in Blow, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Murder on the Orient Express. Day Drinker brings them together again in a different story.
When does Day Drinker come out?
