Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War — The Calamity has moved Episodes 49 and 50 to October. The production committee says it changed the Japanese broadcast and streaming schedule to give the team more time to improve the final episodes before the story reaches its climax.

Episode 49 is now scheduled for October 19 on TV Tokyo, followed by Episode 50 on October 26. Both dates apply to the Japanese broadcast. They use Japan’s late-night television format, so the listed 24:00 airtime is midnight at the start of the following calendar day.

When will Bleach Episode 49 air?

TV Tokyo and its affiliated stations will show Episode 49 on October 19 at 24:00 JST, which is midnight on October 20. BS TV Tokyo follows on October 20 at 24:30 JST.

Paid streaming services in Japan add the episode on October 20 at noon JST. Free ad-supported streaming begins October 25 at midnight JST. The announcement does not give a separate international date, so viewers outside Japan should check the schedule from the service that carries Bleach in their region.

Why did the Bleach schedule change?

The official notice gives one reason: improving the quality of the climax. The production committee apologized to viewers who were waiting and announced both new dates together, so fans do not have to guess whether the final episode will arrive one week or several weeks later.

This is a schedule change, not a cancellation. The anime’s official site already lists the remaining episodes and the revised Japanese streaming windows.

What will air before Episode 49?

Japanese television will fill the gap with four “Climax Selection” broadcasts on September 19, September 26, October 5, and October 12. These programs revisit key material before the final two episodes arrive.

Save October 19 for Episode 49 and October 26 for Episode 50 on Japanese TV. International release times may differ. The final VIZ trailer is available below for anyone who wants another look at The Calamity before Bleach returns.
