Overview

The Walking Dead follows sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes after he wakes from a coma into a world overrun by walkers. He joins his family and other survivors, whose search for safety gradually turns into an effort to build lasting communities. Human conflict becomes as dangerous as the dead, from the Governor and Negan to disputes within the group's own settlements. Andrew Lincoln leads the ensemble as Rick, alongside performers including Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Danai Gurira, Lauren Cohan, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Based on the comic series by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard, AMC's drama premiered on October 31, 2010. It ended on November 20, 2022 after 11 seasons and 177 episodes, then continued through spinoffs including Dead City, Daryl Dixon, and The Ones Who Live.
