The Trap is a six-part German psychological thriller adapting Melanie Raabe’s 2015 novel Die Falle. Friederike Becht stars as Lisa Konrad, a bestselling writer who has stayed inside her home for nearly ten years after witnessing her sister Anna’s murder. When Lisa recognizes journalist Robert Lenzen (Hans Löw) as the man she believes killed Anna, she invites him home for an interview and plans to make herself the bait in a trap. The cast also includes Matthias Brandt as publisher Norbert Rudow, Anna Schudt as literary agent Pia, Miriam Ohlmeyer as Sophie, Josephine Thiesen as Anna, Malaya Stern Takeda as Lisa’s assistant Yuma, Ursula Strauss as therapist Dr. Shelley Anger, Sesede Terziyan as investigator Narges Akbari, and Michael Klammer as investigator Leon Weber. Isabel Kleefeld writes and directs and serves as creative producer; Tom Spiess and Friederich Oetker produce for Constantin Film. The series premieres worldwide on Netflix on October 13, 2026, with all six episodes released together.
