Stranger Things Cast Rewatch Their First Set Interviews — and See What Changed
Seven Stranger Things cast members rewatch their first interviews and remember their auditions, early friendships, and first days on the series.

TV SERIES
Stranger Things follows the residents of Hawkins as friendship, secret experiments, and the Upside Down reshape their lives.
Stranger Things begins in 1983, when Will Byers disappears from Hawkins, Indiana, and his friends meet Eleven, a girl with psychokinetic abilities. Their search exposes Hawkins National Laboratory, the alternate dimension called the Upside Down, and threats that grow from the Demogorgon to the Mind Flayer and Vecna. The supernatural danger remains tied to the friendships, families and grief of the town's residents. Across five seasons, the story moves from the children's first rescue attempt to a wider conflict involving Hopper's disappearance, the Battle of Starcourt, Hawkins' rifts and the military quarantine of 1987. Joyce Byers and Jim Hopper anchor the adult investigation, while Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Nancy, Jonathan, Steve and Robin form the core groups confronting the Upside Down from different parts of Hawkins. Matt and Ross Duffer created the Netflix series, which premiered July 15, 2016. The fifth and final season contains eight episodes released in three volumes on November 26, December 25 and December 31, 2025. All five seasons are available on Netflix, and the completed series is rated TV-14 on its official U.S. title page.
