A Couple of Lies

A Couple of Lies is a four-part Swedish psychological thriller starring Emma Appleton, Fares Fares, Frida Gustavsson, and Jakob Oftebro. Helene and Carl exchange their Stockholm archipelago home for Scarlett and Adam’s villa in Sicily, but unsettling details in both houses turn the holiday into a game of surveillance, manipulation, and mistrust. The Netflix limited series adapts Stefan Ahnhem’s novel of the same name. Kasper Barfoed directs, Amanda Högberg serves as head writer, and Axel Stjärne also adapts the book. Frida Asp and Fatima Varhos produce for Asp Varhos. A Couple of Lies premieres on Netflix on October 30, 2026. Netflix has confirmed four episodes and eight key cast members, but it has not published episode titles, runtimes, an exact release time, or the supporting actors’ character names.
