Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother follows Latif, a devout Muslim hitman in Houston whose wife dies suddenly, leaving him to raise a newborn and two older children. While he searches for breast milk for the baby and tries to keep his family together, Latif is drawn into a political and religious conflict with Pastor Hwan Yoon, a former soldier who founded the Church of Divine Fire.
Bassam Tariq wrote and directed the original action drama. Mahershala Ali stars as Latif and John Cho plays Pastor Hwan Yoon. The film grew from Tariq’s personal experience of caring for a newborn while his wife was hospitalized, and from the creative partnership he formed with Ali on Marvel’s unrealized Blade movie.
Amazon MGM Studios is releasing the film. The company has advertised a September 25, 2026 select-theater opening with wider October play, though individual local cinema dates should be checked when booking. The film is approximately 111 minutes long. Its story combines grounded action with grief, faith and parenthood.
