Overview
Georgia Oakley directs this new adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel, written for the screen by Diana Reid. Daisy Edgar-Jones plays Elinor Dashwood and Esmé Creed-Miles plays her sister Marianne. George MacKay, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum, Caitríona Balfe and Fiona Shaw also star.
The story follows the Dashwood women after their half-brother inherits the family estate. They move to a smaller home in Devon, where money and family expectations complicate the sisters’ relationships. The film runs 132 minutes and is rated PG in the United States.
UK theatrical release: September 25, 2026. US theatrical release: October 16, 2026. The release date shown in this record is the UK opening. No home-streaming date is confirmed in the official listing checked September 26.
