One Night Only

One Night Only is a romantic comedy set in a slightly altered New York where single people are allowed to have sex on only one night each year. Recently dumped Owen and hopeful romantic Allie meet while looking for something more meaningful, then race through missteps and side quests as their connection keeps drawing them together. Callum Turner and Monica Barbaro lead the film as Owen and Allie. The officially billed cast also includes Molly Ringwald, LeVar Burton, Maya Hawke, Julia Fox, Charlie Gillespie, Michelle Hurd, King Princess and Quintessa Swindell. Travis Braun wrote the screenplay, and Will Gluck directed and produced. Universal Pictures released the film in U.S. theaters on August 7, 2026, with digital purchase and rental beginning September 8. Universal’s home-release press document lists October 6 for 4K, Blu-ray and DVD, while the live product page currently shows October 20, so the physical street date remains internally inconsistent across the studio’s own listings.
