Madden

Madden is a sports film about John Madden, played by Nicolas Cage. The story covers his years coaching the Oakland Raiders, his work with team owner Al Davis, his move into television and the football video games that carry his name. Christian Bale plays Davis.

Kathryn Hahn plays Madden’s wife Virginia, John Mulaney plays EA Sports founder Trip Hawkins, and Sienna Miller plays Davis’s wife Carol. Shane Gillis is also in the cast, although Prime Video has not announced his character. David O. Russell directs from a script he wrote after an earlier version by Cambron Clark.

The official trailer shows Raiders games, Madden at a press conference, his time in a broadcast booth and the beginning of his connection with video games. The official poster shows Cage and Bale together on a football field. Prime Video says the film will start streaming worldwide on November 18, 2026. That is a future premiere: the movie is not available to watch yet.
