Lee Cronin's The Mummy

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy follows a journalist’s family after their young daughter disappears in the desert without a trace. Eight years later, she returns, but the reunion becomes a living nightmare. The movie uses that missing-child mystery and the damage left inside the family as the center of its horror rather than retelling the adventure plot of the Brendan Fraser films or continuing the 2017 Tom Cruise movie.

Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón lead the cast. Lee Cronin wrote and directed the film after Evil Dead Rise. James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville produced it; New Line Cinema, Atomic Monster, and Blumhouse presented the production, with Warner Bros. Pictures handling worldwide distribution.

The film opened in North American theaters and IMAX on April 17, 2026, following an international rollout that began April 15. Warner Bros. Discovery later announced its global HBO Max streaming debut for July 3 and an HBO television premiere for July 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
