Nicolas Cage plays Dusko Popov, the real double agent whose work contributed to Operation Fortitude, the Allied deception campaign designed to mislead Nazi Germany before the Normandy landings. Ben Kingsley and Ron Perlman are also attached to the cast. The completed film remains unreleased and has no confirmed distributor or release date. A 2026 lawsuit alleges that a drive containing a master copy was lost after a screening arranged for Netflix. Netflix says it considered the film only as a potential buyer and never owned its rights. No distribution agreement with Netflix has been announced, and the dispute has not produced a public release plan.
