Xenoblade Chronicles 3 takes place in Aionios, a vast world where the nations of Keves and Agnus are trapped in constant war. Noah and Mio begin on opposite sides, but they and their companions join forces when they discover there may be more behind the conflict. Their journey crosses open fields, colonies, and huge creatures. It is a story about life, friendship, and deciding what to do with limited time.

Six main party members fight together. When a battle starts, they attack automatically, while you choose special Arts, change the character you control, and position the team so abilities work well. Characters can change classes to learn new roles and skills. Certain pairs can Interlink into a powerful Ouroboros form, and Chain Attacks let the team combine actions for a bigger result. The interface can look busy, but the game introduces these systems over time.
Monolith Soft developed Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Nintendo published it for Nintendo Switch on July 29, 2022. Nintendo says newcomers do not need to finish the previous games first. The official cover shows the main party facing giant forms in Aionios beneath the authentic title logo.
