Platforms
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear continues the original game's combination of mission planning and tactical shooting. Its campaign follows Rainbow's earlier operations, giving the international team new assignments, operatives, equipment, and orders. Objectives include hostage rescue, and the right specialist or route can matter as much as shooting accurately.

Before an operation, review the briefing and intelligence, select a roster, assign equipment, and divide the operatives into teams. The planning map supports routes and go codes that help coordinate actions. Once the action starts, you can take direct control while the other teams carry out the plan. Keeping track of their progress is part of leading the operation.
Training separates skills such as movement, room clearing, and hostage rescue, making it a useful starting point before committing to the campaign. Practice missions provide another way to revisit an operation. If a plan fails, review whether the problem was the route, the equipment, or the timing of the team's orders rather than treating every loss as a test of reflexes.
Rogue Spear originally launched on Windows in 1999 and later received other versions. It is the second Rainbow Six game, separate from both the 1998 original and later expansions such as Urban Operations and Black Thorn. Features and controls vary across ports, so use instructions written for the version you are playing.
