Read full overview
The original story, conceptualized by series author Hyuganatsu, follows Maomao as the Five Mysteries unsettle the rear palace and the Five Curses spread through the capital. Jinshi puts her on the first investigation, while traveling actor Guanyu becomes connected to another problem. A masked man calling himself the imperial younger brother eventually links the cases to a secret buried for decades.
Players investigate scenes, question witnesses, gather medicinal ingredients, compound remedies and organize evidence in Maomao’s notebook. Deduction sequences can require multiple-choice answers, presenting or combining evidence, reviewing memories and calming people under time pressure. Optional evidence may reveal deeper motives and open a choice between a harsh truth and comforting words. An exact release date, price, rating, playtime, multiplayer features and PC requirements have not been announced.
